On Plastic Flange Bushing, Bearings and Keeping a Well-Maintained Machine through RCA
Conducting maintenance work is a good way of keeping tools and equipments in top shape. But for some companies, especially those manufacturing 24/7, maintenance translates to downtime and therefore no output. Which is why routine checkups are often scheduled en-masse or when a machine actually breaks down. But there is more to maintenance than just repairing parts to solve the problem, which is usually the case for small parts like metal bearings and plastic flange bushing. It's not enough to keep them lubricated at all times. One must observe what causes these small parts to break down or come loose. By performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for mechanical issues and noting which brands are more durable than others, frequent and costly mechanical breakdowns can be avoided. The best part of it is that one must do RCA while production is ongoing, so output won't be drastically affected while the machine in question is being inspected.
